I Spent $400 on Flip Flops and All I got was a Crippling Sense of Depression
Its been a while.
For those of you who followed me on instagram you have probably noticed that I have closed my account. I wasn’t found out or exposed, I decided the gossip game was a net negative on my life and I was busy with West Coast Trials client prep. The timing provided the perfect opportunity for me to back away from the account and focus on positive things instead of going down the rabbit hole of BJJ’s crazy underbelly.
I will not be returning to post gossip related content and in truth I might not write another blog. I enjoyed the science/health talk so there is a chance I might create some content over on substack, but if I do it will be sporadic at best.
Jiu jitsu is at the precipice of great change and I feel as though our little sport has matured a lot over the opening months of 2024. The balance of negativity to positivity has shifted and the sport feels like a more professional place.
ADCC Trials will be amazing this weekend and I am so excited to watch some of the best in the world compete. Let 2024 be the year that we focus on the new guard of BJJ and leave the old generation behind.
